6-6-15

Jim HarkerJames D. Harker reported aboard the Boston on Oct 29, 1944, while the ship was anchored in Ulithi.   Jim arrived just as the ship retired to anchorage after the Second Battle of the Philippine Seas.   Two days later, the Boston, reprovisioned, went right back into the thick of things as the Philippines Campaign was still in full swing.

Harker left the ship on May 14, 1946, after serving in the skeleton crew in Bremerton, WA, that mothballed the ship post-Occupation Duty.         Photo submitted by his son, Michael Harker.
